ALAGA PH
A youth-led organization that aims to protect wild and domestic animals and their habitats by conserving the ecosystems and preserving the lives of species.
NAME MEANING
Alaga PH derives its name from the Filipino word "Alaga" which is also defined as a person, animal, or thing that is being taken care of. Alaga PH is a non-profit organization that advocates for the protection of wildlife animals and their habitats. The organization focuses on conserving the ecosystems and preserving the lives of various species, especially those endangered. With the many environmental issues in our world todaay, it is essential to raise awareness on preserving and protecting these animals, in order for the world to still be considered as "home".
LOGO MEANING
Alaga PH's logo depicts a silhouette of a human and a rhino, representing the relationship between animals and humans. Us humans are the only ones who can protect rhinos, as well as the countless other animals who are in danger of dying out, from others who would use them for their own personal gain.
MISSION
Alaga PH is an organization dedicated to bring people together, to respect and protect animals. By promoting a more sustainable lifestyle to humans through various projects, we hope to raise awareness about the issues concerning these animals and their habitats.
VISION
Alaga PH's vision is a future where people protect animals instead of harming them for their own personal interests. We fight today so that all species are able to thrive and coexist with each other tomorrow.
TAHANAN
Tahanan was Alaga PH's first project, in collaboration with Hound Haven Philippines, a rehabilitation shelter. "Tahanan" means home, and just like home, we hope to bring comfort and happiness to animals. The pandemic has not only taken a toll on humans, but animals as well. The project aimed to raise enough money to provide the retired working dogs of Hound Haven with ample amount of food and medication.
